Iran Is Much Closer To A Nuclear Bomb Than Israel Or The West Will Admit
New information is surfacing that Iran may be closer to achieving nuclear status sooner than the US, Israel or the international intelligence community are willing to admit to the public.
After reading the report from Debkafile, an online intelligence news source, they very well could be right.
In fact, their information leads them to believe that it would not be surprising if Iran sprung it on the world at any moment. Given the fact that their program has been modeled after Pakistan and North Korea, leads some to believe that Iran will probably alert the world of their nuclear supremacy following a surprise test.
Information gathered from the Israeli attack of Syria's nuclear facilities in September has led US nuclear experts to come to three conclusions:
1. If Syria with its relatively meager resources could aspire to a plutonium reactor, then Iran which is flush with oil revenue and has an advanced technological infrastructure must be much farther ahead in the same direction.
2. If Syria could hide its projected construction of a North Korean plutonium reactor for several years, Iran must be assumed to have an already fully-functioning reactor of this type hidden away even longer.
3. Additional data reaching the US and Israel indicate that the boast made by Iranian president Ahmadinejad - and confirmed by the IAEA - that Tehran has 3,000 working centrifuges for uranium enrichment masks the real figure, which most likely tops 5,000 or is even close to 7,000 working machines.
Therefore, even if the Iranian nuclear industry is preyed by technical setbacks, it will be left with enough functioning machines to produce enough fissile material for at least two bombs a year. http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=1315
This latest information has Israeli experts upping there calculation's once again projecting that Iran could have two to four nuclear weapons by spring of 2008.
If this information is correct, this is very disturbing news for the Middle East and especially Israel.

Turning to the upcoming Annapolis Middle East peace summit. Over the last couple of days, rumors have been circulating that the summit is all but dead and destined to be postponed to a later date, possibly in mid to late 2008. In fact, some rumors are indicating that President Bush has already conceded failure and it was likely that he would be passing the Middle East peace process on to the next administration.
Frankly, Bible prophecy does not support the US bringing peace to Israel so this outcome is highly probable. It is my belief, the Bush administration will take this as far as they can go...and they will see some progress...but in the end, they will have to put it on the foreign-policy shelf for their predecessors to complete.
But don't look for the next US president to take up the Middle East peace cause. I look for the next administration to take a big step back from the problems of the Middle East. As we speak, there is a movement in the United States that is setting the stage for the US to unofficially abandoned Israel. Although the US will be an official friend, in their hour of need they (US and allies) will turn their back on them.
This could produce one of two outcomes. (1) This could be the time when the European Union comes to the forefront and brings peace to Israel and possibly the entire Middle East. (2) Although unlikely, it could ignite the war of Gog and Magog and bring about the greatest God ordained deliverance of our time. But because the Bible states that Israel will be living in a time of peace and safety when this attack takes place ( Ezekiel 38:11-14) this outcome is not likely. Personally, I see this great war taking place in the early stages of the tribulation period.
But one thing should be emphasized, no matter what happens with the peace process, eventually the antichrist will come on the scene and complete the road map (Daniel 9:27).
In my estimation, all the pieces of the puzzle are on the table, but the only person who can assemble them has not arrived yet.
When he comes, he will amaze the world by making what looked to be impossible a reality.
