NIE Report Inaccurate Says Israel; Sources Say US & Iran Are In Secret Talks That Lead To US Change Of Heart Toward Iranian Nuke Program

Back on December 3rd, the US released its National Intelligence Estimate report on Iran's nuclear program and declared that their findings indicated they were no longer pursuing a nuclear weapons program.  In fact, the report found that their pursuit ended back in 2003.  This report has not only been a surprise to Israel, but to many in the intelligence world. Many are shaking their heads trying to figure out what could have changed from their estimate back in 2005.

Well, a new report by Debkafile is claiming that the US and Iran have been embroiled in secret talks since before the Middle East peace summit.  Apparently, the US approached the Saudis seeking to broker a deal with the Iranians aimed at bringing their standoff to an end.

Sources have also claimed that while the world had all eyes on the November 27th US sponsored Middle East peace summit the US used this opportunity as a diversion to hold intense secret talks with Iran in Saudi Arabia.

Here is what the US and Iran are believed to have agreed to during these negotiations:

1. Tehran must undertake to halt its arms smuggling into Iraq.

2. They are to guarantee non-interference in the election of the next Lebanese president later that month.

3. They are to tacitly approve Syrian participation in the Middle East conference at Annapolis on Nov. 27.  Debkafile

So what does all this mean?  Nobody knows for sure yet, but it appears that the US is in the midst of changing political directions away from Israel and toward Iran.  Here are five strategies taken from a recent Debkafile report that essentially outlines the new Middle East foreign policy direction the US intends on pursuing.  This is what they expect to achieve:

1. The halt of Iranian weapons and road bomb shipments into Iraq for use against US forces.

2. An Iranian instruction to Hizballah to open the way for the election of a Lebanese president, in return for which Washington will not interfere with the formation of a new government with a place of honor for the Iranian surrogate militia. (In other words, the Bush administration is not only engaged in a sellout of the Israeli government but also of the pro-Western Lebanese prime minister Siniora.)

3. The cessation of Iranian arms and roadside bombs to Afghanistan.

4. The naming of Saudi Arabia as a channel for arbitrating American and Iranian differences.

5. A US pledge to backtrack on its charges that the Iran is engaged in developing nuclear weapons. This pledge was embodied in the dramatically revised US National Intelligence Estimate compared with its estimate of 2005, and effectively lifted not only the American military axe from over Iran’s strategic and economic infrastructure – and possibly regime - but also tied Israel’s hands. Debkafile

Since the release of the NIE report, Israel has protested that the information is flawed and that the international community needs to continue to put pressure on Iran to come clean about the intentions of their nuclear program.  But this report has all but destroyed any chance of another round of sanctions being levied against Iran, and quite frankly, it's unlikely that present sanctions will continue to be enforced.

So what's happened here?  It appears the US has betrayed Israel in exchange for favors that suit their own interests.

With the US no longer backing a military option against Iran Israel is left to deal with this situation alone.

Here's another situation that could turn prophetic very quickly.  Upon hearing the results of the NIE report Russia immediately dispatched a team to Iran to finish their work on the nuclear reactor at Bushehr.  They expect to continue work (to completion) on the reactor as soon as possible.

They also, for the first time, sent a fleet of six warships including a carrier to the Mediterranean to dock at the Syrian port of Tartous.  Look for this to be a major military port for Russia and likely their point of attack when the battle of Gog and Magog takes place (Ezekiel 38 & 39).

There is no question in my mind that this betrayal is setting the stage for one of the greatest deliverances foretold in the Bible.

News Alert:  In a dramatic change in policy, Hamas announced in an open letter to US Secretary Of State Condoleezza Rice, that they were ready to set down with the West.

"Many people make the mistake of presuming that Hamas has some ideological aversion to making peace. Quite the opposite; we have consistently offered dialogue with the US and the EU," Ahmed Yousef, a senior Hamas official, said Sunday.

"We are not anti-American, anti-European or anti-anyone," he explained.  (Read this article Jerusalem post)

If this is true, we may be looking at peace sooner than later.

Are you ready to meet the Lord?  If not, your time is running out!
