Israel:
Iran could have nukes this year
Israeli Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz warned on Wednesday
that, according to an updated Israeli intelligence assessment, Iran may be able
to build a nuclear weapon by the end of this year.
Speaking at Yale University on the eve of Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day, Mofaz, a former Israeli army chief, said that Israel's greatest modern existential threat was about to acquire the teeth needed to fulfill its dream of finishing Hitler's work.
Iran is believed to have overcome technical difficulties that had previously put the date for its acquisition of nuclear weapons sometime in 2010.
Mofaz:
Israel will not accept a nuclear-armed Iran. All means of prevention legitimate
The Israeli transport minister Shaul Mofaz, speaking at Yale University Tuesday
night, April 30, on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day, warned Iran may attain
command of enrichment technology before the end of this year. He said: “Israel
will not tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. This time, the Jewish people won’t let
it happen. I would like to believe the world will not let it happen. To prevent
this, all means are legitimate.”
Court
permits Arabs to challenge Israel's existence on Independence Day
A Nazareth District Court on Thursday ruled that the venomous northern Israel
branch of the Islamic Movement can hold a mass public event protesting the
existence of the Jewish state on Israel's independence day next week.
Israel's Interior Ministry had originally refused to issue a permit for the public gathering, which is to take place at a stadium in the Galilee village of Kfar Kana.
Many Israeli Arabs annually mark what they call "the catastrophe," or nakba in Arabic, while the rest of the nation is celebrating Israel's rebirth. Prominent Israeli Arab Knesset members usually take part in the nakba events.

Minister uses NASA forecasting to study signals of Jesus' return
Will Jesus Christ return to Earth in the year 2015?
And can studying NASA's
website provide evidence for such a scenario?
A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare
string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God's annual holy days seven
years from now could herald what's come to be known as the "Second
Coming" of Jesus.
Rice:
Israelis, Palestinians must agree on final borders
Israeli and
Palestinian negotiators should decide once and for all where to draw the line
between Israeli and Palestinian territory, ending the argument over Jewish
housing expansion on disputed ground, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said
Thursday.
Rice also warned that the expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank do not equal a "fait accompli" that the houses or towns would remain in Israeli hands under a final settlement of the conflict.
"Ultimately the best answer is to determine what's going to be in Israel and what's going to be in Palestine," Rice said before meetings with negotiators and leaders on both sides in London and the Mideast.
Determining final borders is "the best thing we can possibly do," Rice said, suggesting she has heard Palestinian, Arab and other complaints that there is little momentum and less clarity in peace talks that are supposed to frame an independent Palestinian state before Bush leaves office.
