American X-Band Radar Gives Some Israeli Officials Jitters; Could It Lead To Russian Attack
Israeli officials are worried that the advanced X-Band radar system that U.S. military forces have deployed in the Negev recently will expose Israeli secrets to American eyes. Time magazine quoted an unnamed "top official" who said the system will allow the U.S. to keep a close watch on anything moving in Israeli skies, "even a bee."
Israel will have no direct access to the data collected by the radar and will only be fed intelligence second-hand, on a need-to-know basis, unless the radar picks up an immediate, direct attack on Israel, Israeli sources said.
Israeli officials also expressed concern that the radar’s installation may anger Moscow, since its range will enable the U.S. to monitor aircraft in the skies over southern Russia. When the U.S. stationed anti-missile radar and interceptor systems in Poland and the Czech Republic, Moscow warned those countries that they could be added to the target list of Russia’s missiles. As the group did in the Gaza Strip roughly one and a half years ago, Hamas may try to carry out a "hostile takeover" of the West Bank and bring down the current Fatah-led government, officials in the Palestinian Authority security forces warned in a report published by the London-based newspaper A-Sharq al-Awsat on Saturday. Analysis
For the first time in 25 years, Russia is holding live fire military maneuvers
off the coast of Alaska. Nuclear armed military vessels and warplanes are
taking part in the exercise. "More than 60,000 troops and 1500 tanks
and APCs, as well as land-based and submarine-launched nuclear missiles, were
tested in the first phase of the war games." Debkafile
Some believe this is a deliberate slap in the face to the US putting them on notice that they're no longer the world's sole superpower. They're also starting to make their presence known in the Middle East by establishing a strong military presence in Syria.
The Bible states, in the last days (Ezekiel 38 & 39), Russia would join their Middle Eastern allies and stage an attack against Israel. As you may know, the US has conveniently placed the advanced X-Band radar system and other antimissile technology in Poland, the Czech Republic, and now Israel. This in the name of Middle East protection against a future nuclear armed Iran. But this move has made Russia very angry because it now enables the US to monitor Russian skies with very fine detail. Needless to say, while the US enjoys exclusive access to the data from the radar system, Israel opens itself up to US eavesdropping of their (Irsael's) military secrets and now places them on Russia's list of targeted countries. Just another reason why Russia will take part in this attack.
But as I stated in an earlier article, Israel is also contemplating an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities slated to take place just before the new US administration takes office. If this were to happen, would Russia participate in a retaliatory strike? I believe they would for two reasons: One, to send a strong message to the US that they are no longer capable of protecting their Middle East allies putting an end to their missile shield, and two, to secure a commanding stake in Middle East oil.
Here is an excerpt scenario, written by CBN founder Pat Robertson, of what possibly could happen if an Israeli strike were to take place:
"Would Russia then consider hostilities (such as I have outlined) the excuse to enter the fight on trumped-up reasons in order to further its ultimate aim of controlling Middle East oil?" [to take a spoil]
"As the potential conflict spreads, oil terminals would be engulfed in smoke and flames. The Strait of Hormuz would be blocked, and with it 40 percent of the world’s oil. The industries of the world would face severe energy shortages and the economies of both America and the European Union would face a devastating depression." CBN
If this indeed happens, we could be witnessing the beginning stages of a very dramatic world event that would change the world forever. Certainly, we don't know the Lord's timing and what He has for the future, but it does appear that He is setting the stage for a very dark time in world history.
