Might Israel strike at Iran before Obama takes over?; Obama to work closely with Sarkozy in Europe: ambassador
Only three days after the US presidential election, President Elect Obama is beginning to make new friends from all over the world. In fact, they're coming out of the woodwork. According to published reports, terrorist nations such as Iran, Syria and North Korea are calling for immediate talks with him. Syria has even stated that they will restrain Hezbollah and Hamas in exchange for a US policy shift. Certainly, it will be at the expense of Israel. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is beaming at the opportunity to exploit Mr. Obama into thinking that they can actually sit down and talk about their "peaceful" nuclear program. Again, this is all part of the prophetic endtime picture that will finish with Russia leading the Islamic world in a monumental attack against Israel (Ezekial 38 & 39). It will be interesting to see how many enemies of Israel Mr. Obama will get in bed with before this attack transpires before our eyes.

That's not a lot of oil by global standards, but many experts believe there could be a desert full of unfound oil reserves discovered before it's all said and done. Which leads me to this point, many Bible prophecy experts believe that Israel will one day uncover a tremendous oil discovery. It is believed that this discovery will be the hook (Ezekiel 38:4) that brings Russia down on the state of Israel in the very near future.
Just today, I was reading an article on the Russian oil industry that stated they were actively searching for new oil reserves due to the declining levels of their present reserves. Russia's economic prosperity over the last decade has for the most part been due to their global dominance in the oil markets. But they are aware, if they are to continue to be a world force, they will have to find new undiscovered oil deposits. But that is future!
At present, Israel is in the process of making a very critical decision...whether or not to attack Iran's nuclear facilities. Many military experts are predicting, if they are to stage an attack, it will be during the US presidential transitional period. But there's also another deadline that must be taken into consideration. In a few short weeks, "Iran is supposed to purchase advanced anti-aircraft guns from Russia at the start of 2009." JPost.com This state-the-art anti-aircraft system would make Israel's task considerably more difficult which leads many to believe, if it's going to happen, it will be before this system is in place.

"Ties between France and the United States have been on the upswing since Sarkozy came to power last year and moved French foreign policy in a more US-friendly direction." EU Business
Whether this political duo will amount to anything is unknown, but I will certainly be keeping my eye on where this friendship goes. On November 15th, outgoing U.S. President George W. Bush will be hosting a world financial summit. The purpose of the summit is to "discuss the global financial crisis and ways to prevent it from happening again." Reuters Lately, there has been a tremendous amount of talk of creating a new world order. Certainly, that day is coming, but keep your eye on this upcoming world financial summit and especially the summits to follow under the Obama administration. I have a feeling, whoever comes out on top to lead us out of this world financial mess will play a significant role in the future of Bible prophecy.
